Terms of service
By installing or using TourPulse (the "App") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
What the App is
TourPulse is a free Android application for tour operators, guides and event organisers. It lets you:
- create tours and add members by hand or by importing Excel files (.xlsx and .xls);
- run check-in sessions by scanning the QR code on a member's passport ID or by entering the ID manually;
- keep member details (passport ID, names, birth date, gender, phone, email) and check-in records on your device;
- use the interface in English, Arabic or French.
The App runs on Android 8.0 or later. It requires no account and stores your data on your device only, as described in the privacy policy.
Your data and your responsibilities
- You must have the right to collect and hold the personal data you enter about travellers, and you are responsible for complying with the data protection laws that apply to you.
- The App does not back up your data to any server of ours. Losing, resetting or replacing the phone, or uninstalling the App, deletes the data. Keep your own copies where you need them.
- Keep the device protected with a screen lock. The App relies on Android's app sandbox for protection at rest.
Acceptable use
You may use the App for lawful tour, group and event management. You may not use it to track people without their knowledge, to process data you have no right to process, or to attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the App beyond what applicable law allows.
Intellectual property
The App, its name and its design are ours. The data you enter is yours.
No warranty and limitation of liability
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFIT OR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE ARISING FROM USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, INCLUDING LOSS CAUSED BY DEVICE FAILURE, UNINSTALLATION OR USER ERROR. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and termination
We may update the App and these terms. Material changes are noted in the release notes on Google Play and dated at the top of this page. You can stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the App's publisher is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, to the extent permitted by the consumer protection law of your place of residence.
